Student Testimonies

As the population most affected by the issue, it is crucial that public school students speak about their experiences in the lunchroom. High school students from across New York City have testified on the importance of combating the “poor kid” stigma that surrounds school lunch programs. These youth believe that instating universal free access for all is an important first step in ensuring that students eat a meal during the school day.
